The Farm of Sougey, a historic monument, from the XV century offers a magnificent background for this Sound and Light Show.
« SI LA BRESSE NOUS ETAIT CONTEE... » is a long epic story which starts in 732, during the Sarrazin invasions and helps us to relive the events in Sougey and Bresse from the past to the present, using a magic medallion discovered by three children, as they are walking at night in Sougey.
From 19h00, the site is opened to visitors who can discover the identity of the Bresse on a BRESSAN MARKET where all the local quality products are displayed as well as artisans’ traditional arts and crafts. It is also possible to eat, listen to musical presentations and other activities that will be presented before the show by the associations and local groups.
When night falls, the great courtyard turns into a magical and mysterious place that brings ghosts back to life from the past, great historical characters, local Bressan traditions and costumes, parties and hard work from our ancestors, tales and legends coming directly from the inventive imagination of Maria Favier, the story teller from Sougey, all set under a flood of lights and entrancing music.
Twelve performances will be given from the 10 to the 27 July 2008, with 200 actors and volunteers, 15000 people are expected.
In the Jura mountains (an altitude of 400 m.). Come to see and discover large natural spaces, waterfalls and panoramic views...and enjoy a stay in the chalet with a view on the lake ! From the 24th of May till the 22nd of July 2008 : Chalet for 4/6 people : 102 € for a week-end
